From a young age I have always been in the church and fondly remember organising and leading church segments and Bible study. I was saved and led to Christ when I was 10 years old and remember cultivating a lifestyle of prayer at a young age. During a difficult academic period in my early years I was bed bound for long periods. Then I had a major surgical operation which still did not help my symptoms so I prayed and called on Jesus. It was during my exam resit period, where I had a marvelous encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. I reached out to God in the evening hours of the day in fervent prayer and the Lord Jesus appeared to me in the dorm room like a mighty earthquake, whilst I was alone, with a golden, glittery, glamourous royal chair which cannot be found here on Earth.

I was relieved, overwhelmed and in complete awe of Him, rushed towards him as he was sitting on his mighty throne of Grace and began to air my thoughts and problems to him. As I was so tired and I gradually became sleepy, but I have not been able to sleep for months, and I asked Jesus to wake me up at 3 am so I could get ready for my exams that day. And at 3am he did just that by tapping me on the leg 3 times and when I woke up, I was completely healed. This is an encounter I will never forget and is one of the reasons why I know God is truly a God that is faithful and just. This is one of many encounters I have experienced.
